Carlisle Castle cannon.

Me and Masie

These two were so happy to be reunited.

Love this shot.

This was cool. It's in the tunnel from the castle into the town of Carlisle.

Carlisle Castle. This is the northern, dismal, castle that Elizabeth imprisoned Mary Queen of Scots. It's really far from London in a cold part of the country. She would have been miserable.

Me! Seriously BAD hair day.

Down they go!

Up they come!

The "licking stones" at Carlisle Castle. Prisoners would lick the condensation off the walls because they were so dehydrated.

Leaving The Wall

Dad out on the land. He looked so regal up there. Couldn't resist.

Mason kept inching toward these sheep. It was pretty funny.

Hadrian's Wall

We all got our photos here. It was so windy. Not a good hair day.

One of my favorite pictures of the trip.

Hadrian's Wall

This tub is a little small for the three of them.

Roman fort. This is where they would sit and rest once they got out of the bath.

Here's everyone and at some point a spider dropped down onto Karyn. THAT was funny.

Hanging out in the ancient latrine at the Roman fort.

There were so many beautiful sheep, everywhere.

Our Trip Along Hadrian's Wall

Okay.....this place was nowhere near Sherwood Forest. Cute though.

Roman fort along Hadrian's Wall

I kept calling it the Barak Block until finally they reminded me that they were the barracks for the troups! Duh

A well at the Roman fort that one would not have liked to fall into.

They didn't really know what this room was for. It was cool.

Saying Goodbye to York.

On the steps of York Minster. We had a full day.

Inside York Minster. I had a lot more but the pictures seem to have vanished.

This imposing create sent us on our way. We had to leave the next day for a new stage of the journey.

York

Kali--carefree girl

Ilaria........such a beauty

These two missed each other a lot!

The Shambles

The longest name for the shortest street in York.

York

Our tour guide.......I never got his name but he was so knowledgeable that frankly he made York the experience it was for us.

Lunch in this beautiful renovated church.

We had fantastic Indian food our second night in York. The owner knew alot about American politics.

Okay. It was cold there. So cute.

Noah on the River Ouse (oooz)

York

Only after we took this photo did we read the sign not to stand on these ancient walls built by Roman soldiers 2000 years ago!

City gate.

Walking the wall. York is surrounded by this wall. So incredibly cool.

York Minster. All I can say is amazing.

Another view of the city gate

Beautiful York

Homlea Guesthouse. Our B&B

llaria and Mason in front of Clifford's Tower

York is an amazing old city.

Such Beauties.

There is probably something seriously wrong with sitting in an ancient coffin. But she wanted to..........

Off To England We Go!

Ready to go at Seatac!

We're here and Noah thinks he's............well we know what Noah thinks he is.

On our way to York. Kali is looking a little tired..........

Yep, she's tired.

Our flight was good. I took my xanax and all was well. Before I knew it we were there. When we came out of the gate Ilaria was standing there with Grandma Carol and Grandpa Stan. Even though I was pretty doped up on xanax it was so good to see Ilaria. She jumped over the barrier to get to us. It was a sweet reunion with my sweet girl.

Now on to York!
